Welcome

Where Robert Mitchum lived in 1969.

Mitchum stayed here while filming Ryan's Daughter, and the bar still carries his name. Owners Stephen McPhilemy and Patrick Wade have restored the 120-year-old house so that the décor blends its own long history with that year-long flirtation with Hollywood. Breakfast is fresh and locally sourced, served in the bright conservatory looking out over Dingle Bay.

The house sits on a quiet cul-de-sac on the Slea Head Drive side of town, with parking on site and a five-minute taxi into the centre if you'd rather not walk. Stephen is a Fáilte Ireland approved guide and runs daily walking tours of Dingle along with guided tours of Slea Head and the peninsula, and the waterfront lawns host intimate weddings of twenty to thirty guests.

“We loved this BnB and the breakfast was hands down incredible. My daughter Sophia who is only nine months old was also welcomed beautifully which means a great deal to parents. We loved Bruna, she was so accommodating, knowledgeable and welcoming. Thank you for your hospitality 💓”
